•Attended the Wesley Balk Institute at Macalaster College, studying opera direction, under a full scholarship.


•Staff member/consultant for an education and collaboration project with Nautilus Music Theater and The Ordway Center For the Performing Arts.


•Conceived, wrote the libretto, and directed Intension-with composer Peter Hamlin (Professor of Composition, Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont) and singer Jake Endres. Performances at Nautilus Music Theater, St. Olaf College, and the 2001 Fringe Festival.


•Conceived, wrote the libretto, and directed The Blind Tongue-with composer Mark Warhol and Ensemble Warhol. Productions at the Red Eye Theater in Minneapolis and Théâtre La Chapelle in Montreal.


•Conceived, wrote the libretto, and directed Ophelia at the Bates Hotel with composer Carl Witt. Performances at Nautilus Theater and Southern Theater.
